well since i've seen some of the tourney-folks postin the 2nd round pieces.. i figured i should too..

my theme : 'medievil medical practices for the black death plague'

i decided to protray mine as a triptyche.

1st panel - depicts one method they used to attempt to heal the sick, which was by the bleeding of a person using leeches. Another method of bleeding a person would be by cupping the skin using a heated glass.

2nd panel - depicts the attire Doctors wore. The beak-like mask was filled w/ spices/herbs, thought to ward off the plague

3rd panel - depicts an infected girl, holding a posey which was used to rid the air of the foul smells of rotting corpses

the theme was definately a good choice.

Created this image lastnight.. before the deadline [my time anyway]

this tourney has been good, why... coz it's allowed me 2 draw things i wouldn't of to begin w/.... so if that's all i get outt've this tourney... that still makes me happy

the doctor with the beak mask freaks me out - can you imagine living in that time, when there were actually people walking around like that?
i love the entire feeling to this. you're a magician.
